Born from a fortunate chance encounter and a heartfelt collaboration, the Tanuki models draw on Japanese Washi paper with its history spanning over a thousand years. The fibres of the abaca plant are woven using a special technique that gives the shoe exceptional breathability and water permeability, making it ideal for warm days. Weighing just 56 to 151 g, it is among the lightest shoes in the world and delivers an unparalleled feeling of freedom. The upper dries in next to no time, making this model an ideal companion for water adventures; by swapping the standard insole for a separately available Washi insole, this water-permeable minimalist shoe can even be worn directly in the water.
